LCMD Pulse Jet Fabric Filter
The LCMD pulse jet fabric filter, also known as a long bag low-pressure pulse dust collector, operates at a working pressure of 0.15 to 0.2 MPa for normal pulse jet cleaning, in contrast to high-pressure systems that require 0.5 to 0.6 MPa.
Working Principle
Dust-laden flue gas enters the channel through the inlet and bends into the ash hopper. When the airflow hits the deflector and turns into the dust bag chamber, coarse particles fall to the bottom of the hopper due to inertia, while fine dust rises with the airflow. As the airflow passes through the filter bags, the dust is retained on their surface. The clean air is collected through the openings of the filter bags into the clean air chamber and is then expelled into the clean air discharge duct through the butterfly valves in each chamber.
The LCMD pulse jet fabric filter features offline cleaning in separate chambers, with each chamber’s filter bags arranged in groups. As the filtration process continues, dust accumulates on the outer surface of the filter bags, increasing the resistance of the collector. When the resistance reaches a specific range (1200 to 1500 Pa), the cleaning control system (PLC) sends a signal. First, the switching valve is closed, and then the pulse valve is opened. Compressed air is sprayed through nozzles onto each filter bag, causing the bags to deform and vibrate, achieving the dust cleaning purpose. After cleaning, the switching butterfly valve is reopened, and the dust collector resumes the filtration state, allowing for uninterrupted operation and improving the cleaning effect.
The cleaning device is equipped with an 80mm diameter direct pulse valve, designed through extensive testing to ensure a reasonable design of throttling and pressure relief channels, resulting in low self-resistance and reliable opening and closing performance. This allows for the rapid release of a large volume of compressed gas, achieving effective dust cleaning.
The connection between the pulse valve and the blowing pipe uses a plug-in method. The blowing pipe is fitted with nozzles of varying diameters, aimed at the center of each filter bag. There are no injectors at the bag openings, hence the term “direct pulse.”
The spraying time of the pulse valve is 65 to 85 ms, which is 50% shorter than traditional pulse cleaning methods and generates strong cleaning capabilities. Cleaning is generally controlled by a constant pressure difference but can also be timed. The filter bag diameter is Ø120 to 130 mm, and the length is 6 m; if needed, the bag diameter can be increased to Ø150 to 160 mm, with a length extended to 8 m.
