Polyester Filter Bag
Industrial dust can pose serious risks, including explosions and fires, when its concentration reaches a certain level and is exposed to static electricity or external ignition sources. Dusts such as flour, chemicals, and coal can ignite under these conditions. Therefore, it is crucial for filter materials used in dust collection bags to possess antistatic properties.
Antistatic polyester needle felt is engineered to achieve excellent antistatic performance by incorporating conductive fibers or stainless steel materials during production. This design effectively dissipates static electricity, preventing its accumulation and minimizing the risk of explosions and fires, especially in environments where flammable dusts are present.
Working Principle
The polyester filter bag employs “depth filtration” technology. Initially, a “primary dust layer” forms on the surface as the filter material captures dust particles. During initial use, larger gaps in the filter may allow some dust to escape. Actual filtration begins once the powder cake forms. Over time, dust accumulates on the bag’s surface and penetrates deeper, gradually blocking the pores and increasing equipment resistance until the filter must be replaced.
