Right-Angle Pulse Solenoid Valve
Why Use a Pulse Solenoid Valve?
In nearly every industry, dust and particulates are an unavoidable part of the job. If not effectively removed or collected, these contaminants can harm workers and damage equipment. From automotive to concrete, mining to pharmaceuticals, facilities rely on dust collectors to improve air quality for employees and machinery. Providing clean air is essential for a safe working environment, and the performance and efficiency of a dust collector directly impact a facility’s overall effectiveness.
Pulse solenoid valves are electromagnetic devices that rapidly release air bursts to clean filters in dust collection systems. They consist of a body, diaphragm, and solenoid coil, and are typically positioned after the filter to reverse airflow and remove particles, enhancing efficiency and extending filter lifespan.
Working Principle of Right Angle Pulse Valve
A right angle pulse valve features inlet and outlet pipes positioned at a 90-degree angle. Inside the valve, a diaphragm divides it into two air chambers: the front chamber and the rear chamber. When compressed air is applied, it enters the rear chamber through a throttle hole, causing the diaphragm to press tightly against the valve’s outlet, placing the pulse valve in a “closed” state.
An electrical signal from the pulse blow control instrument activates the solenoid of the pulse valve, opening the exhaust port of the rear chamber. This rapid depressurization allows the diaphragm to move back, enabling compressed air to flow out through the valve’s outlet, putting the pulse valve in an “open” state. Compressed air is then expelled from the valve, creating a blowing air stream.
When the electrical signal from the control instrument disappears, the solenoid returns to its original position, closing the exhaust port of the rear chamber. The pressure in the rear chamber rises again, pressing the diaphragm tightly against the valve outlet, and the pulse valve returns to a “closed” state.
